Teamwork

 Clemens Rettich has asked me to team up with him to do photos for his "Up At Night – Interviews with Business Owners" series and our first interviewee was Julie Salisbury. Julie is the owner of Influence Publishing, a place to turn to when you want to write a book and get it published.

We got together for the interview at Bucknucks Books and set up in a cozy corner with just enough room for me to put up a couple lights and take some photos.

 For some reason, I like to make photos of creative people, well, a little more creative looking. I guess that's pretty much in keeping with a lot of the photos I do and the people I work with...

 This stack of books represents a few of the books that have come her way en route to being published.

This was fun for me to walk in as part of Clemens' team and work with him on this project. I look forward to meeting more interesting people in the months to come!

Summer Glow

Summer is a great time for taking photos outdoors. Well some times it is. Mid-day on a sunny, 30 degree Celsius afternoon is not the best, depending on the look you are going for, but the evenings sure are nice! 

 I was happy to do some maternity/couple photos for Hilary and Dave Huntley a while ago. The sun was getting low and everything was just falling into place.
I was using a different lighting style here and I loved the flexibility it gave me and the look in the resulting images.
