Shop Shoot

I had a chance to drop by Isherwood Auto Body to do some photos for Ryan Isherwood (owner) for a publication he was going to be featured in.
Lately I've been having fun creating a more naturally-lit look, yet these are all lit with a mix of lighting... This photo above is a pretty good example of that look.

In the shop, the same holds true. Using lighting but in a subtle way.




There was an old Dodge Charger in the far corner, in middle of a big rework. Lucky for me, and what caught my eye, was this tall fluorescent light source right beside the car. It made for a good highlight to the driver's seat area. You can see the light source in the photo below.


Steve came up with the idea for this shot. He was wet-polishing a fender for a bike and it had a great shine to it. Why not play with the reflection a bit...

And that was my visit to Isherwood Auto Body. Thanks to Ryan and his crew for not knocking over my lights as I worked around them!
